THE BIG PICTURE

What are the numbers
telling us?

01

More homes are available.

Regional inventory increased from 1,035 homes in August to 1,092 in September. New listings also increased, giving buyers a little more selection heading into fall.

02

Homes are taking longer to sell.

Average days on market moved from 32 to 39 days. That does not mean homes are not selling — but buyers may have slightly more time to consider their options.

03

Prices stayed remarkably steady.

The regional average sale price was $179,900 compared with $180,000 in August — effectively unchanged despite shifts in inventory and sales activity.

FOR BUYERS

A little more room
to explore.

Rising inventory and longer market times may give buyers more choices and a bit more time than earlier in the year. The strongest homes can still attract attention quickly, so preparation matters.
